Along the coast between the Ciolo ravine and the Marina of Novaglie, you will find these typical Salento dwellings, known as "Pajare la Guardiola." They are nestled amidst Mediterranean scrub, olive trees, and shrubs, in a coastal stretch characterized by steep cliffs overlooking the sea, offering a breathtaking setting.
There are four Pajare (traditional Salento stone huts) on the property, accommodating a maximum of 10 guests. Built using the dry stone wall technique, these structures have been skillfully renovated while preserving the original characteristics of old rural Salento homes. They are all independent and adjacent to each other, furnished in a simple and functional manner, making them perfect for a relaxing vacation, thanks to the outdoor spaces.
The presence of a swimming pool nestled among the olive trees and the surrounding sunbathing area allows for relaxation even on the hottest days of the Salento summer.
The Pajare la Guardiola are composed as follows:
Pajara Azzurra, with four sleeping places, features an entrance with a habitable kitchen and two bunk beds, a bathroom with a shower, and a double bedroom. Both rooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans.
Pajara Cattedrale, also with four sleeping places, is the largest of the four. It has a small living room with a sofa and TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a loft with a double bedroom. Air conditioning is available in all areas.
Pajara Vecchiarella, with four sleeping places, consists of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. They share a centrally accessible bathroom. There is a small outdoor kitchen under the veranda. The rooms are equipped with ceiling fans.
Trullo dell'Amore, with two sleeping places, is a small suite located in a characteristic tower with a dome-shaped stone vault. Inside, it houses a bathroom with a shower and a double bedroom with air conditioning. There is a small outdoor kitchen as well.
Barbecue and laundry facilities are shared.
The sea is easily accessible, either by a short car ride or a bike ride along a nearby path.
